In Baltimore, survivors of sexual abuse by Roman Catholic clergy are calling for Maryland’s attorney general to investigate the Archdiocese of Baltimore, inspired by a Pennsylvania grand jury report revealing widespread abuse and cover-ups involving over 300 priests. This report has brought renewed focus on cases like Teresa Lancaster’s, who alleges abuse at Archbishop Keough High School by Rev. Joseph Maskell. Lancaster and other survivors hope for an investigation similar to Pennsylvania’s to bring accountability to Maryland. The Maryland Attorney General’s Office has acknowledged receiving related appeals.
